Yesterday I wrote a blog post for you.
But today was different.
I let the words from yesterday sit until this morning. When I got up and began the day I realized something.
The winds had changed.
And with the changing winds came new words for a new day. So, I thought I would post a few pictures about what I’m doing. Fewer words today and a couple of pictures.
Like this one. Last year in Daffodil Hill, California.
I love to draw flowers. This week I returned the drawing board, committing to sketching for 10 minutes a day, every day.
I haven’t made it yet but I’m going to keep working towards the goal. Sigh.
Drawing recalls memories from yesteryear.
Like when I asked my artist Grandpa how I could improve my art skills and he looked at me and didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then he told me, “You need to draw more.”
So I am. Drawing more, that is. And remembering.
But I do love some bright colors.
And with Easter this weekend….spring peeking through the earth…..flowers bursting…..
I had to pull out the paints and do just a little bit of painting.
What are you doing for fun this weekend?
Don't forget to make the weekend special.....Tell someone you love them. Give a hug. Color some eggs. Eat chocolate. Yum.
We’ll get back to some more focused stuff next week.
For now.....do you have a few minutes for a quiet morning reflection?
Maybe tonight when the day is over….or tomorrow morning when everyone else is still asleep.
To listen to your body, relax your shoulders and let go of the tension and breathe.
You are very special.
Take another sip of coffee and think about that.
Let the week fall away and just enjoy the time you have right now.
Listen.
Be thankful.
Enjoy.
And know that you are special...just the way you are.
